Formessenza 5

forma essenza 5 - 01 forma essenza 5 - 02 forma essenza 5 - 03[Lately, I’ve been thinking that the positive thing about looking like “vanished” for the rest of the world is that, on the contrary, we are perfectly aware of where we are. Maybe we don’t know which way to go exactly, but we know that we are here for ourselves, finally. ]

Formessenza 4

formessenza 4 - fallformessenza 4 - failureformessenza 4 - start overSometimes, all we have to do is surrender.

Surrender to the obviousness that, even if we didn’t mean to make a mess of it, we ended up by spoiling everything. In that moment, when we realize that we have gone too far, we can only fall apart, put ourselves back together and start over again.

When there’s no way to go back and fix it, then we can only change direction and search for a new point of view – whatever this means for each of us.

‘Til we meet again

“‘Til we meet again…”

That’s what I usually think when I leave a place that I like.

I know that I’ve got to go. But I also know that, sooner or later, I’ll be back.

So, Venice: Goodbye for now. See you next time. 01img470 02img470 03img470 04img477 07ABimg468 07Aimg468

Venezia

I had a walk in Venice.

Just a few hours and too much beauty for my eyes and my photographic purpose which, this time, went literally into crisis.

The lyricism of Venice, its unbelievable uniqueness, are so difficult to translate into images.

What do we have to include in its portrayal? What can we leave behind?

My dear readers, I don’t have an answer. But just some photographs which, I hope, will evoke its extraordinary atmosphere.

I’ll remember 2014 as one of the most hectic and frenzied years of my life. Time went by so fast, that I couldn’t even realize the passing of last months. I’m so tired that, in my memories, I’ve placed events of 2013 in 2014!

I’ve never felt so deprived of my time, as this year.

Yesterday, it was August. Today, December is waving goodbye.

Now, I won’t waste a second with year-end considerations – they’re so useless and depressing. I’m here just to remember some moments of this feverish year. Instants I held during the only days in which I took a true break from the ceaseless passage of time.
